An Open Competition for teams of 3 player playing 3 games in each round, one singles, one doubles and one triple on a knockout basis; losers in the first round going into a plate competition. Games will be limited to 13 points or 30 minutes whichever is first. Entries are invited from all Severn Valley League teams on a first come basis, 16 teams taking part. Competition Boule must be used.
Food will be available and a Barbecue, and obviously being a pub drinks will be available (please respect the licensee and only drinks from the bar are permitted). Tea and Coffee will be available.
Entry is £ 15 - 00 per Team
Cup Prize = £ 60 – 00 Plate Prize = £ 45 – 00
Plus other prizes, depending on the number of entries.
Entries must be sent by post with entrance fee by 20th June 2011
There will be 16 teams playing a knockout so there will be 4 rounds. In each round a team will play 1 singles, 1 doubles and 1 triples game - the winners will be the team winning the most games in the round, ie: best of 3, and they will go forward to the next round. The losers in the first round will then play in a shortened plate competition. It is planned to start at 11-00am so with breaks between games it should be over by about 6-00pm.
You swap players in different rounds of the singles and doubles game as long as the combination is nominated at the start of each round.
